Doc and Ryan are here to bring you some cool nerd news with Associated Geekery Episode #79!

In Comics news, Marvel announced we’re getting an All-New Nova during Secret Wars! And it’s actually gotten us excited about Secret Wars!

Next, we talk about the 1st Annual Dwayne McDuffie Award for Diversity coming this weekend at Long Beach Comic Expo! In case you haven’t heard, here are the nominees for 2015:

And lastly- get ready to sing the DOOM Song! Invader Zim is coming back via Oni Press and Jhonen Vasquez!

Over in Movieland: Jason Momoa is Aquaman. Just let it sink in. Yeah.

Meanwhile, in Marvel movies- there’s more rumors going around that the newest incarnation of Spider-Man may not be white after all. Take this with the largest salt mine you can find, folks- but we like the idea.

For TV news- FOX has picked up Vertigo’s Lucifer for a pilot. But is this fallen angel/ruler of the under-world ready to meet LA’s Finest? Um…

Finally, some Disney theme park news- as both US Disney resorts up admission prices to unheard of levels because, hey, they’ll have a Coupon Day or something.
