Revealing Marvels

Do you remember where you were during the great reveal wars of 2015?

It began in the wee hours of the morning on the 9th of April. 20th Century Fox posted a full image of the illusive Ben Grimm (played by Jamie Bell) in the upcoming Fantastic Four reboot.

A rocky exterior, but not rubbery like the previous incarnations seen on screen. But no one could have foreseen how would this simple image spark the greatest tv and film war of the fourth month of the fifteenth year of the new century.

For just a few hours later, online streaming service Netflix “accidentally” released images from the soon-to-be binge-watched Marvel series Daredevil, showing star Charlie Cox in his full crimson crime-fighting costume.

As the collective internet reeled from these revelations, the ante was upped by Marvel Studios themselves. The day before, Entertainment Weekly released an image of the main characters from Avengers: Age of Ultron that snuck in our first real look at the android Vision, as portrayed by Paul Bettany. But not to be outdone during this war, Marvel unleashed a full Vision character poster- with the best look of the character to date.

Finally, not to be outdone, Fox shot back one last time- as director Bryan Singer posted teaser images of the X-Man Archangel as he will appear in the next film X-Men: Apocalypse.

Survivors of this massive onslaught of images recall that it was an amazing time to be alive, and that they “literally can’t wait” for the films and shows to begin. Some reports of rioting and looting were debunked.

So, how did you survive the reveal wars of ’15? Was your inner child devastated, or hyped? Let us know in the comments below!
